SUMMARY 1
What is HRIS actually? What its relation with Psychology field? This question always in my mind on first week i learn this subject. But when I enter Dr Nur Naha lecture, and i learn from Chapter 1 until 3, i can see and understand why this subject is also important to psychology student.
HRIS system can be described as a system used to acquire, store, manipulate, analyze, retrieve and distribute information regarding an organization’s human resource. This system can make information can be load and get in easy way. Although we know that, HRM in paper still comparable with HRIS, but the management of employee information was not done as quickly as in a computerized system. They have lot of advantages that can be recieve by firms when using this system such as, increase competitiveness, provide comprehensive information to increase the speed of information transactions, reengenering HR process and functions, and also improving employee satisfaction by delivering HR services more quickly and accurately.
          In Chapter 2, I learn about the major roles of Information System and the competitive advantage that the can achieve with Information System. Other than that they have several advantage that can lead company to gain the competitive advantage. The strategy are cost leadership, differentiation, innovation, growth. Alliance and others.  
          In chapter 3, I learn about different types of HRIS model and three different strategic needs that drive organizations in selecting each model. The models are Multinasional model, Global model, Internasional Model, and Transnational model. Whereas the strategic needs are responsiveness through local differentiation,efficiency through global intergration and learning through leveraging worldwide innovation and knowledge sharing.
          But in this subject, i think the most that i remember is when i learn about PESTLE technique when we want to make decision making. Pestle stand Politic, Economic, Social, Technologycal and Legal. Using this technique we can know our strength and weakness to make a good decision. Hopefully for the next chapter I will get more knowledge and information that can help me to improve my skill and knowledge about Information System.

REFLECTION 3


REFLECTIVE 3 : REFLECTION ON THE WEB AND KEY TRENDS CHANGING HUMAN RESOURCES
This topic is the first topic that i learn on this subject. This topic give me first impression about this subject. In overall, this topic discussed about Information System (IS) function, IS Business Environment, and IS Evolution.
           Information System combines five major components. What is an Information System (IS) function? This function is helpful, when company need source of information that can support them to make decision making. This system also are important contributor to operational efficiency, employee productivity, morale, customer service and satisfaction. This system also will be a key component of today’s networked business.
          In this topic also give explanation about the hardware (physical computer equipment, machines and media) and software (programs and procedures) which are the main tools for the system to run.It is also about the data resources (data and knowledge bases), communication networks (communication media and network support) and people (for example such as users, programmers).
          IS activities on this topic explaining about Input of data resources (data entry activities), Processing of data into information (calculations, comparisons sorting and so on), Output of information products (messages, reports, graphic images, forms), Storeage of data resources (data elements and databases) and lastly is Control of system performance (monitoring and evaluating feedback).
          This first topic, make me interested to explorer about this subject. In my mind, make question what is the relation between this topic and psychology actually. Now i can conclude that Human Resource Information System is important because it can facilitates managerial decision making, yet helps business expand and compete with other competitors. This information system also can be apply in psychology field such as, to find out background of employee that related with their behavior and how they manage their work and interact with other.

REFLECTION 2


REFLECTIVE 2: REFLECTIVE ON GLOBALIZING HRIS PART 1

In order to make organization can across border using Transnational Solution.  Cristopher Barlette and Sumantra Ghoshal categorize worldwide organizational models into four types. The model include Multinasional model, Global Model, International model and Transnational model.
Multinasional refer to company take a responsive approach to implementing and managing HRIS by being sensitive to local and regional differences. Global refer to company take efficiency approach to implementing and managing HRIS by building a single, standardised centralised system. International Model refer to organization takes a learning and sharing approach to ensure HRIS can be implement and can be manage by transferring and adapting knowledge expertise to local organizations while continuing to retain considerable influence and control over the local organizations. Transnational model is one that embrace and exploits such parodexes. Using this model will bring the efficiencies through an intergrated network of competencies and process, provides flexibility through specialised roles and responsibilities and also creates a learning organization through the facilitation of multiple innovation processes.
Several different strategic can be use to select the best model that suitable for our organization:
·       Responsiveness through local differentiation
·       Efficiency through global intergration
·       Learning thhrough leveraging worlwide innovation and knowledge sharing.
Addtional reading that Dr Nur Naha give to us, the article by Karen V. Beamen, On Globalizing HRIS: Moving to a Transnasional Solution provides futher information regarding the four HRIS Model. This article mention about the advantage and disadvantage of this four model HRIS. Base from that article i can conclude that all this model have their own value. How to manage and choose between this model is base from that company, how their strength and weakness. But its clearly state that the Transnational is the best because its have ability to respond effectively and swiftly to the demands.

REFLECTION 1


REFLECTIVE 1: REFLECTION ON SYSTEM FOR COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES.
When i learn about this topic, i already know how HRIS can gaining competitive advantage. There are tree roles of information tehcnology that plays a major role in reengenering most busineess processes:
·       Can substantially increae process efficiences
·       Improve communication, and
·       Facilitates collaboration
Information system can help organization gain the competitive advantage with using five competitive strategies. First strategies is cost leadership. Company must become low cost producers with help and reduce cost to their customers or suppliers but increase the cost of products to their competitors.
To become a succeed, compony must have this second strategies that use differentiation starategy and focus on a particular segment or niche market such produce product that not produce by others company. This way can make product that produce by this company will be accept by others.
The third strategies is innovation strategy. To be a innovative, company must creste unique product, service or markets that can give benefit to consumers and make them satisfied when using this product or service.
Other strategy to get the competitive advantage is growth strategy. This strategy will give opportunity to expand company capasity and diversity new products to get expand company capasity and diversity new products and service into global markets.
Last strategies is alliance strategy. Company can find another way how to establish linkages and alliance with customers, suppliers, competitors, consultant, and other company. This way can lead company have a good relation with non employer and employer in that company and make them loyal with this our company.
Other than that, a company that emphasize stategic business use of IT would use it to gain competitive defferentition. For example, company can produce product, or existing service and provide capabilities that different with other and have their own value compare with other company.

ABOUT ME
My name is Marsupandi Bin Ahmad Mahmod. Just call me Supandi or Andi. I’m 23 years old. Malay boy from Pontian Johor and curently a final year student in Bachelor of Industry and Organization Psychology at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Johor Bahru. Before I become one of the UTM student, i’am taken STPM in Social Sceince.
Everybody can know me as freindly and active person. I like join any program or activity that can teach me to be a good leader. When others take me as a leader it will teach me to be a good listener, and also give me lot of experience and sometime I can share my freindz to others person to give them some value and increase thier motivation. When I doing my secondry school I have lot experience in handle motivation program and leadership program and this experience give me lot of knowledge and make me understant lot of human behaviour. This experience lead me to take my course right now. And i’m feel more suitable with Psychology field.
Learn about Psychology teach me how to become extraversion people, have hight confident level, be open minded and always try to learn new thing and must be open to accept human behavior, emotional and cognitive other person that diferent each other. Using this knowledge i can understant human trait and it will related with employer trait. Hopefully it can help me to lead organization that I become. I also want to open my own consultan and give training to other about Psychology and Human behavior.
Other than that, i  also interested in graphic design. I have knowledge and skill to using graphic software such as Photoshop software. Graphic design is interested because we can create something what we imagine. And I have ambition to open my own company that produce graphic as a main product. I also want to combine my knowledge in psychology as a main idea to produce my graphic design. Hopefully I can realise this dream.
